What is the Charge for possesion of marijuana Plants in your house.?

i have a friend that i have not talked to for quite a while, and i heard that he was caught with marijuana plants in his home, what is hte minimun, or the maximun amount of jail time he can get for this (he sells drugs so im sure he had more than 5 full grown plants) anyways please let me know asap, Thanks.

Depends on the state. Five plants in some states is only a misdemeanor, but in a state like Nevada, even having a seed is felony. It also depends on how much he had. If "the law" thinks it's just personal use, he may get a slap on the wrist if it is his first time. If the weed was still in plant form, he has a better chance of saying it was for personal. If it was already "bagged up", then they will throw the w/intent on top of the possession and most likely jail time will come with it. But because we dont know how much he had and where he was, nobody will be able to tell you too much
Reply:There is really no way to answer this question accurately. It depends on what state this is in, if your friend lives within 1000 ft of a school, how many plants were recovered, if there were other things like scales, baggies, etc., and whether your friends has priors. He's not looking at a small amount of time.
