Plants to reduce excess condensation throughout house?
i have a 'poganotherum monica' (no good at plant names, just read the label) in my bathroom.

Its has thin green leaves, quite bushy, about 12cm tall

Bought it in Ikea for exactly the same reason. I have excess moisture in the house, and it is ideal for that. loves the damp air.

likes it bright but not direct sunlight. best for bathrooms.
Reply:"Kiley gir "has it nearly sussed except that you would require 5 tons of crystals

Have an extractor installed in kitchen and bathroom.
Reply:Don't know about plants, but here are a few tips.

Water vapour generated by heating, bathing, clothes washing, cooking and clothes drying needs to be vented outside toprevent saturation-level humidity and condensation. Condensation will cause mould growth and generate conditionsconducive to termite, borer, cockroach, silverfish, dust mite and other infestations, all of which may cause diseases orstructural damage. Better ventilation can be achieved by partly opening windows and increasing passive vents in rooms,by cutting back shrubs encroaching on the house, ventilating thoroughly under the house and draining the ground wherevery wet.

You can also get these crystals (Krystals is one make)from any hardware store. Place them in damp spots, and they soak up moisture, also if you can afford get a de- humidifier.
Reply:Hi, you may want to try a dehumifier, here is a site that I found to helpful, good luck!
