Ive heard some house plants are "natural air filters". what small or small-med sizd plants fit this category?

i really like the lucky bamboo's; but do they fit into the category of "natural air filters"? i want to have a house plant in my room that can supply a lot of oxygen and also be a "natural air filter". i tend to like tropical and asian plants a lot more. also the ones that are very easy to maintain; meaning all it needs is water every other day or so and wont die on me easily.

so again, what small or small/med sized plants act best as "natural air filters" and supply a lot of oxygen but yet very low maintenance? (ide prefer tropical or asian plants)

thax for all your answers in advance!!!

Spider plants are supposed to be excellent natural filters.
Reply:All plants absorb carbon dioxide and emit oxygen. That's not quite the same as an air filter. From my readings, hemp (not marijuana) is the plant that, ounce per ounce, absorbs the most CO2. (That came from the internet, so I'm not positive about it. I've not found confirmation.)
