I think my neighbours climbing plants are causing damp in my house, can this happen and what can i do?

Climbing plants can weaken the outer brickwork for sure. Politely ask them to cut it back. You could ask a surveyor to assess the damage.

You are entitled to cut back your neighbors plants/trees up to the boundary between the houses. Do NOT go over the boundary.

Climbing plants can cause damp in a house, especially if their roots/tendrils invade the brickwork, or force open cracks anywhere.
Reply:It's possible, if they're particularly strong or invasive like various forms of ivy, though not necessarily likely. Ask your neighbour to cut them back so they're off your wall and see what that does. Or you can cut them back yourself, as long as you don't cross the boundary and offer the cuttings back to them.
Reply:Its hard to judge without seeing your house, but i would doubt that its the plants.

I do not think that they have such an strong effect.
