What are all the things I can do with the aloe vera plants in my house?

I've heard that aloe vera is almost magical in all its uses (medicinal, cosmetic, health, etc). I have lots of it in my house and I don't know exactly how I use it. Does anyone know how I should cut the leaves (should I peel the skin and spines off?) and what I should add to it? Should I blend it? Grind it with a mortar and pestel? Also what can I do with that mixture?

Without consulting outside resources, what I can share from personal experience is that aloe vera does have a variety of purposes.

To utilize just break off the three dimensional leaf near the stalk and then peel the skin off or divide it with a knife or your fingers to get to the fleshy, watery interior portion. Like a starfish, the aloe plant will continue to grow and replace previous leaves for more uses.

Often the aloe plant is used as a sunburn or general burn remedy for its cooling and healing properties. Other people consume aloe liquid claiming it has health benefits, but I would consult with a physician or homeopath before consumption.

An atypical but very hand use for it that I employed in a pinch was to use the interior as personal lubricant during sex!! LOL but it worked beautfully without any side-effects! :D

I am sure a search in any major search engine would result in tons of free information type in something like "Aloe uses" or aloe AND vera AND uses. Good luck and happy hunting!!
Reply:You can use aloe vera in your hair to tame fly aways or you can use it on burns.
