How do i get started growing carnivorous plants? i'd like to have them as house plants. any suggestions?

first buy a good book on carnivorous plants - the savage garden by peter D'amto is a great book with most of what you need to know - try growing tropical butterworts as they flower very well and are easy to look after - Sarracenia are also good plants to grow. try nepenthes as if you have the right humidity they are quite easy to grow: - look for a local nursery or grower at the international carnivorous plant webring for more adivce - http://www.carnivorousplants.org

look up venus fly traps online... they usually have them for sale... if you are going to have carnivorous plants however you are going to have to get freeze dried flys or something from the pet store to feed them... because inside there are less chances of them feeding naturally on insects...and insects are an integral part of their diet...
