Do any of you have plants? what kind is best for house plants? for low light?
IVYS ARE GOOD HOUSE PLANTS. THEY REQUIRE NOT MUCH LIGHT, JUST LIGHT COMING THROUGH YOUR WINDOWS. KEEP SOIL MOIST, AND THEY SHOULD GROW GOOD. JUST REGULAR IVYS, YOU CAN FIND THEM AT WALMART, FOR FOUR OR FIVE DOLLARS, OR ANY PLANT NURSERY. THEY MAKE BEAUTIFUL HOUSE PLANTS AND REQUIRE LITTLE ATTENTION. ALSO, TO MAKE THE LEAVES SHINE,USE A SMALL AMOUNT OF MAYONAISE ON THE LEAVES, CAUSE THIS WILL MAKE THE LEAVES SHINE, AND MAKE FOR A MORE BEAUTIFUL PLANT.
Reply:ferns, philodendroms, impatients and coleus to name a few
Reply:pothos, philodendron, peace lily
Reply:Look for foliage plants. Spider plants, most ivies, ferns (stay away from asparagus ferns--they make a mess), split-leaf philodendron seems to do well and can get sizeable. Jade plants, too. These are the ones I seem to have the most trouble killing. And they're fairly cheap. Easily propogated, too, so you can get cuttings from friends (except for the philodendron) or make new pots of them. They all do better if you put them out in the summer and feed them weak fertilizer solution. Repot regularly (I have the most trouble with that, but it's key to keeping them healthy). Don't fertilize over the winter. And if you can get someone to give you a cutting from a night blooming cereus, get it. Leave it dry for a bit, then stick it in the soil. It takes a couple of years to flower, but you won't regret it. You can tell when it's ready to blossom. Call a few friends over and have a little party. It only opens after the sun goes down and the bloom is dead by morning.
Reply:Aspidistra. Peace Lily - spathyphyllum.
Reply:Peace Lily is the best for low light area.
