My house plants have fruit flies, how do I get rid of them, I have house birds?

I have Zebra Finches %26amp; Cockatiels in the same rooms.

What kind of plant do you have that has fruit flies??? Are you sure they aren't white flies or something?? Take the plants outside and spray with Shultz Garden Safe Houseplant and Garden insect spray. It's safer than most sprays, but also works real good. Keep the plants and birds away from each other.
