How can you keep a cat out of my house plants?

Try citrus (orange peels etc.) - they don't care for that too much.

How can you keep a cat out of my house plants?
Use a little bit of Vick's vapor rub around the rim of your plant pots. Sounds odd... but it really works. It also works for cords and wires if t hey chew them Peace, Ame
Reply:spray her with a water gun
Reply:If the cat eats the leaves then put Cayenne pepper on the leaves and if the cat likes to dig in the dirt then cut a piece of screen to fit around the base of the plant...
Reply:Sprinkle a little pepper around top base of pot.
Reply:Put some amonia in a spray bottle, and spray around the base of the plants.
Reply:You can spray vinager on the plants. Cats hate the smell of vinager and they will stay away from it if you spray !!!!
Reply:Large rocks...like the size of landscaping rocks (quarter size or a little bigger even) worked for me too!

Too big to swallow, big enough for the water to still get to the plant, but small enough to not look silly.

Worked for us.

Good luck.
Reply:put a ball of tape and they will get stuck. they will learn not to mess with the plants anymore.
Reply:easy!!

Canadian tire and other hardware stores sell a product called Critter ridder for your gardens and houseplants. That's about $15 a jar. SAME thing in a dollar store would get u 15 of them.

All it is is Lemonpepper..

Works wonders in our gardens and cats that use to spray around our house.
Reply:Spray it with a squirt gun.
Reply:dont try to give them any citrusy things this kills animals like cats!!!!!!! im a vetenarian i know!! its just a way of getting in vegetable if your cat is fat put the plants on a high shelf and if your cat can get there get some catnip and mix it in with its food only a pinch though!!! let it go outside into your backyard so it eats grass and leaves outside not the ones in your home!!
Reply:They don't like mothballs..just remove them when you water.
Reply:try put a bottle of water beside the plants and see i that works.

it work with my cat anyway because she was afraid of her relection......lol
Reply:Small rocks so they can't get to the dirt. I had a cat once who would NOT stay out of my plants and I ended up doing that. Not gravel or pebbles but small rocks.
Reply:Cover the top layer of dirt with bigger rocks so the cat cannot scratch around but water can still get through. Worked for my cat.
Reply:Spray white vinegar around the house plants. It also works really well if you dont want them getting into anything else or if they accidentally drop waste outside the litter box...just spray around them and they won't bother it.
Reply:Simple.

Get 15 Venomous snakes and put them in your house plants.

The cat will soon get the idea to keep away.

No...No...no need to thank me.

Please....stop your adoration...it's embarrasing.
