Can I use the "green" cleaners to clean the outside siding of my house without hurting my plants?

It's supposed to be all natural stuff but I want to make sure before I kill everything I worked so hard to make look good. Thanks so much.

Can I use the "green" cleaners to clean the outside siding of my house without hurting my plants?
I have used Wind*x exterior window washer (that goes on your garden hose) for several years without any problems. Of course, before I used it the first time I thoroughly read the label, checked the company's website, and spoke with the County extension office.

The Wind*x product does a good job on vinyl siding; its hose attachment gizmo allows you to change to "rinse" to use clear water to remove the cleaning product residue. Although I think your green living things would withstand the new product, I would be extra cautious with rinsing the siding as you clean. Even the most environmentally friendly products can leave soapy residues or harm some surfaces if left on over time.
Reply:All you really need is a diluted standard detergent type cleaner. They contain phosphates that the plants will thrive on and it wont cost you an arm and a leg to purchase. Oh yeah, and phosphates are a naturally occurring mineral in the environment so don't worry about that.
Reply:most cleaners will not harm your plants outside....If your really concerned go and get a small tarp and place over your plants so the water residue will not directly fall on them.

If it's a green cleaner, chances are it's very safe.....
