What can I do so my cat won't eat on my house plants. Then she throws ups and I have a mess to clean up.?

Have you tried not feeding it houseplants?

Don't leave them where she can get to them. You know what you might actually have instead of just a mess to complain about? A DEAD CAT! Many houseplants are actually HIGHLY toxic to cats - see the link below.

Cats like to chew on plants so get your cat something healthy to chew on. Most pet stores carry "cat grass" (usually wheat, rye or oats) that you can plant and grow for them. I work from home so often work out on my deck and let my cats out here with me. I planted some cat grass in a container for them and now my cats ignore my other plants out here (which incidentally are NOT on that list - I wouldn't endanger my pets) and gladly nibble on THEIR fresh grass.
Reply:I keep a spray bottle filled with water (label it water) and whenever any of my felines do something I do not approve of, they get a squirt. works every time. if you work or are gone most of the time and cannot do this, can you put your plants in the bathroom or bathtub and shut the door...........good luck.
Reply:Many houseplants are TOXIC to cats!! Look on this website to see if your houseplants are listed.

I moved all of my plants out of the house, when I started having kittens / cats inside. My yard is beautiful and my cats are SAFE!

Good luck.................
Reply:Get rid of the plants they can get them no matter what they can climb on something and get them, also they are TOXIC(well most of them)!!!!! I think you should get cat-grass(its plant that cats can eat)
Reply:She is craving grass- get her her own plant from a pet store and keep her away from other houseplants before they kill her.
Reply:Don't keep plants in the house that are bad for your cat.
Reply:Hang those plants high enough so kitty can't reach.
