How do i avoid mosquitoes coming in the house due to plants planted in the balcony?

oh I also had the same trouble ... please follow these



1. do not make the roots of the plants too moist

2. do not let any water to accumulate

3. close the window/doors at the balcony during evening (this is the time when mosquitos come out for hunting

4. clean the area where plants are located frequently

5. let some sunlight be there on the plant

6. trim the plants regularly

7. spray bleaching powder (very little extent) at the corners

you could get a net for your windows and doors, and also get one of those sents that chase the mosquitos away
Reply:You can put out a small white saucer with a touch of lemon Joy dish washing detergent and a few drops of water. It has to be white saucer and lemon dish washing detergent. Mosquitoes are attracted to it and it kills them. Why I don't know but works great. Let me know if you like it.
Reply:Try buying more plants. Check with your nursery for Citronella Plants. I think they are in the geranium family. I have 8-10 on my deck and you can smell the citronella and it keep the mosquitoes at bay. Good luck
Reply:There must be standing water on your balcony. The're probably breeding in the dish where the water drains out from the bottom of the planter. After you've soaked your plant really well, empty that saucer part so the mosquitos can't breed in it. Just realize you'll probably have to water your plants very thoroughly at least once a week.

Reply:close the doors in the evening times between 5.30 to 7.0 and in the early morning also dont open the doors from 6.0 to 7.0 fix mosquito net to your windows
