My cat eats the house plants?

It's weird because she doesn't even eat vegetables... how can i stop this? all of its leaves have bite marks.

My cat eats the house plants?
My cat does the same thing. Our cats would even dig in the plants. Get a pot and plant some grass for him/her to eat. You also want to do this soon because some plants are very poisons to animals.
Reply:The cat is just being a cat. Some do it, some don't. You can move the plants to a more inaccessible location, or maybe grow some "cat grass" for it.

Reply:Kitty's going back to her roots...feeling like a lion in the bush. MeowRoar.
Reply:The easiest way to stop this behavior is with a squirt bottle. You should really try to stop your cat from eating the house plants, some of them can be poisonous,i.e. IVY, ELEPHANT EARS, and others. Buy some wheat grass or pet grass at petsmart or petco, your cat should really enjoy that. Cats eat grass to help them get rid of hairballs either by coughing them up or when they go to the bathroom.
Reply:I have 6 cats and they love plants...I suggest to get some cat grass ( they have it at pet stores ) or get regular grass seed and grow it yourself..put it in an appropriate spot for them...them arm yourself with a spay bottle and give them a squirt when they're chewing on the other plants...they will learn....Good luck!!
Reply:My cat does the same. i find keeping plants out of reach when possible is a good place to start.

Secondly get your cat it's won plant. cat Grass is available at any decent pet supply shop. You can lace them with catnip. Put it in a place accessible to the cat. The cat will most likely prefer to chew on it's own plant than yours.
Reply:She is either bored or she is looking for grass. From time to time cats eat certain grasses. They are a kind of medicine, or so it is said. You should buy her a container of 'kitty grass' which you can find in many stores that stock pet supplies. It's just a container in which is growing the kind of grass that cats like to eat.
Reply:Some house plants are toxic to kitties and I have attached a list of the most common. Also, if you have a plant that recently came from the florist and has the shiny waxy looking sheen, that is a leaf shine cleaner and it is toxic to cats.

What you can do is get her a catnip or cat grass plant. The second link is to a store that sells plants just for kitty.

Once she has her own 'garden' maybe she will leave yours alone. In the meantime, spritz her with a water bottle or clap your hands and shout "no!" when she is near your plants.

I used to have lovely plants and African Violets until I got my cats. My now oldest wouldn't bother the green plants, but she loved to eat the blossoms off my violets! Now the only plants I have are outside.

Purrs to you and kitty.
Reply:My cats would do this to my spider plants but I keep them out of reach. Buy the cat grass hopefully it will put a stop to it.
