Low Maintenance House Plants?
I suggest a Jade plant. Not only are the uber attractive, but they are very low maintenence. They are from the cactus family and need watered only a few times a month or once a month during winter. They hardly need repotting and never need pruning Also they aren't poisonious for kids or pets.
Reply:Golden pothos....I have one in my bathroom with no windows even!.....It doesn't grow without light....But it lives!
Reply:Spider plants are very high maintenance. They require watering at least every other day. If hung from the ceiling as most are, they are a lure for the cats. They love swinging from them.

Sadly, most common house plants are toxic. I have found a wonderful resource in the garden folks at Lowe's and Home Depot. They are more than clerks; they are experienced in all manner of flora.

Of course, the internet is an option for info. But I prefer live people. Good Luck to You...
Reply:Yes there's the catcus plant.
Reply:Spider plants are your best bet. They are pet and kid friendly and do not requre a lot of maintenance.
