How do you keep cats from pooping in your house plants?

I had this problem at one time. Just placed large rocks and bricks in the pots around my plants. The cats couldn't get to the dirt. Problem solved.

GOOD LUCK!!

How do you keep cats from pooping in your house plants?
A few moth balls should do the trick.
Reply:Go out for a walk and pick up lots of nice looking stones, place them all over the earth around your plants and the cats won't be able to go to the loo there. They like nice fresh earth to cover their doings, they won't go near the plants if there are stones there.
Reply:Cats detest the smell of fresh orange peel; if you put some peel around and in your plant pots, it should keep them away. You will have to change the peel regularly however, as it needs to be fresh to work.
Reply:Put moth balls around the dirt of the houseplant.
Reply:have you got a kitty litter tray inside?
Reply:what kind of fertilizer is in with the plants? Sometimes regular potting soil has 'ingredients' that kitty recognizes as "oh, well lookie here! Another kitty litter box"
Reply:I used to work for a plant company that took care of Plants in peoples homes and we found that using cayene pepper worked very well, especially the ones you might use at a pizza place. There are also some sprays that you can buy or go to your nearest petsmart and ask one of the vets there. Black pepper also works because Cats are sniffers.
Reply:come on let's cats happy from it
Reply:I have taken long nails or spikes and stuck them in the dirt upside down. Leave them sticking up enough so they can be seen and interfere with digging but stuck down deep enough so that they are not easily moved by digging paws. Works pretty good most of the time until bad habits are forgotten.
