I have ants in my garden, my patio, in potted plants & in my house. How can I get rid of them without poison?

I do not want to use poison since I have children around.

Boiling hot water kills them instantly! Alternatively, get a shallow pot and fill it with honey and the ants will soon come and get stuck:)

Reply:I was always told that if you sprinkle cinnamon on them they will die... dont know if it works but it is worth a try.

Reply:sprinkle borax powder(in the laundry section at your local walmart or supermarket) around your house. cheap and efficient!
Reply:get terro brand ant killer it is poison but u only use 1 drop on a small piece of card board and u place it on a window sill where u see ants and they will cut it up and take it to nest then within a week or so no more ants

just place it where kids cant get it

Reply:Mix boric acid powder half n half with powdered sugar. It will not harm kids or pets; but the ants will take it back to their nest,...and it kills the whole colony...
