How do i stop my cats from eating my house plants?

Rumor has it that the herb RUE will keep cats away from other plants (and furniture), unfortunately I've been unable to track it down, so I've yet to test the theory.

How do i stop my cats from eating my house plants?
Greens are good for the health of your kitty but unfortunately they don't know what might be poisonous. Plant her a tray of grass that she can feed on.

You should be able to find prepackaged "cat grass" seeds at most pet stores. Plant the seeds according to directions, wait until the grass grows about 2 inches, then put the container within easy nibbling distance of your cat. Praise your cat for snacking on its "salad" and use a water pistol or noisemaker to send the message that houseplants are off-limits. If you're consistent, your cat should quickly learn the difference between acceptable and unacceptable grazing.
Reply:feed it more, and show it that its unacceptable
Reply:Try the cat food for indoor cats by friskies. I cant remember the correct name but it should help. A small water gun should help. I know I use to spray mine with the water gun when they got near the Christmas tree, a couple time of this seem to stop the curiosity. Good luck. I hope they don't eat any that will harm them.
Reply:If your cat is constantly nibbling on your house plants it means that he or she is not getting enough fiber in their diet. You can switch to a brand that had greens in it, or you can go to the pet store to buy some cat grass (specifically for cats to eat). after you provide them with the cat grass, they should stop eating your plants; however, if they continue, put your plants where your cat cannot reach them until they get used to the cat grass.

Hope this helps---
Reply:If my cats start chewing on stuff i have in my house, i use like a hair water bottle and lightly spray them, and they will stop, that is also how i stop them from attacking the birds. good luck!
Reply:I have heard that the herb RUE works too, but it is very hard to find. Try cutting a lemon in half and rubbing it on the rim of the pots that hold your plants. Most cats hate citrus and the smell will deter them.
Reply:easy put some thing hot on the plants (like a powder)
Reply:put the plants up
