How can i stop my cat from eating house plants?
You are very welcome. You don't have to : choose between plants and cats, enclose plants in chicken wire, hang plants from ceiling! Just a few squirts of water in the face and that kitty will soon learn. Report Abuse
Reply:You might want to try buying some cat grass and put it inside to distract her from the house plants. Meanwhile, try to teach her not to bite the plants. Good luck! =)

=)
Reply:Tell the cat "NO" or "BAD". Give bad things to do a certain name so the cat will learn that chewing the plants or scratching at the door seal is a bad thing to do!!
Reply:you could try adding water and tabasco sauce in a spray bottle and spraying the leaves. you should also keep the plants up higher.
Reply:Most cats like to chew on leaves and stems, so it's hard to make them stop. Put them where the cat can't reach them. Use bitter green apple spray on the leaves.

Or buy fake plants.

Also, make sure that any plants in your house are not poisonous to your pets. Many are. Even when you THINK they're out of reach, kitties find a way to get into them. Don't risk it.
Reply:seal up the plants in thick plastic, w/ holes poked in for ventilation, and a tube sticking through the plastic for watering
Reply:unfortunately it comes down to your choice of having EITHER pets OR plants. for the handful of small plants in our place with our 2 cats, we've enclosed the plants in a shelf with mesh (chicken wire) enclosure.
Reply:You can hang the house plants from the ceiling or place them on the free floating wall shelves where she can't jump up to reach them. I would then grow him some cat grass and maybe some catnip (either outside or hanging for the catnip) for his chomping pleasure.

After he gets used to his own grass, I would see if he ignores your other house plants when you move them back. If the house plants he is eating are toxic, I would keep them up high.
Reply:your cat is sick and needs to go to the vet most cats eat grass are other things when they are sick

hope its ok
Reply:What I would do is try to put the plants some where the cat won't find them.Trust me it will really work especially if there kittens.

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!
