What house plants provide more oxygen?

Algae in the oceans produce 90% of the atmospheric oxygen. That means 9 out of 10 breaths you take the oxygen is from the ocean. One out of 10 is from all of the land plants on earth. So the oceans are pretty important to the survival of all organisms that need oxygen to live. If you don't consider algae a plant (because it photosynthesizes some people have classified it as a plant, others do not) the land plants that make the most oxygen are plants in the tropical rain forests because they photosynthesize year round.

So for a houseplant you would want something that is tropical or semi-tropical--the more leaf area the better and the more sun they can take the better. Something like a peace lily would produce a lot.

What house plants provide more oxygen?
All plants emit oxygen through a process called photosynthesis.

So, the more plants and the larger plants will give off more oxygen than having one or two small plants.
Reply:I was told a long time ago , at a nursery that spider plants have the highest rate of giving off oxygen and filtering gasses from the air, but at night they also give off a huge amount of Carbon dioxide.
