Best advice is to compost your coffee grounds with other household and yard waste. By themselves, they won't do much for your houseplants and in some cases can be harmful. In the end, it is best to follow the advice of reputable horticulturalists as it pertains to the species of plants you are trying to grow. Is coffee suppose to be good for house plants?
not really, but it can help acidify the potting soil. a lot of the water used for drinking is pH 7.0 or higher. Plants like 5.4-6.4 and the water makes the soil buffer higher in pH. coffee can help bring the pH down.
It's not good horticultural practice, but it can work.
thing is.. coffee with milk in it can curdle and go rancid.. and STINK! do you really want stinky houseplants???
