to promote dampness?? thanks.
Large Azalea plants right next to foundation of house...What material can I put at the base that is not going.
Not sure of what you are trying to accomplish. If you are talking about a top covering like a mulch to keep weeds out and moisture in, you will have a certain amount of dampness. Azaleas do not like to be in a wet area, or their roots will rot. If this is a newly planted azalea make sure it has good drainage. You may want to consider like a river rock around the azalea, looks good and it won't hold top moisture as much like bark and other tree products.
